happy fourth of july weekend! mine will be spent soaking up the sun at the lake with my family. i’m headed that way right after this project revamp update.

one thing i most loved to take photos of in senegal was the doors. is there a more pleasant way to be welcomed into a shop or home than through a beautiful door?

my home will have a bright and beautiful door one day.

i also wanted to share a comment that a friend left on my last post, it really hit home and sparked some life into the revamp project:

“have i told you that i think your idea of revamping is brilliant? because it is. and so much like jesus. you’re looking back & remembering while incorporating your past into your future dreams of pursuing art. i love this. it gives me hope that there really purpose to what we experience & it does fit together. and i love Jesus. i love that he redeems our experience & infuses even the brokenness with the beauty of him.“
