Every time I shoot a wedding, I’m aiming to tell the entire story. Everything about the day, every moment, the exact, organic way that everything looked. To the point that sometimes friends and family members at the wedding ask me what it is I’m taking a picture of. Some people call it photojournalistic wedding photography, but I call it storytelling. I love being in the business of telling a story.
It’s a little bit difficult to tell you in words how I feel about Katie and Joe’s story. With the risk of being trite, it is truly a story of joy, of the deepest love. There was something about their reckless abandon that struck me to my core. I remember coming back to the city after their wedding and recounting to a friend that I couldn’t explain how touched I was by not only their kindness, but the way they lived out their love and themselves. It was so…free.
This post has a lot of photos. It’s less “wedding details,” and more exuberant joy. I have a lot of special people that I get to work for. Katie and Joe are no exception. This is some work that I absolutely love.
The way that you capture people makes everyone so beautiful. You get the beauty of every single person’s spirit and with that gift, you can change the world.
Beautiful wedding! The bride’s dress is gorgeous!
Beautiful! Where is this little chapel? I am looking for one JUST like it!
