this little boy is preparing for our match of football in a courtyard in dakar. before i played, i had just finished peeling the liver of a sheep who had just been killed.

this was my senegalese family’s idea of a picnic. fresh mutton and football (soccer).

*i hope you all had a wonderful fourth of july weekend. my entire body is sore from all the tubing, swimming, boating, and jet skiing, though my heart is happy. 🙂
