when i was in new york this last time to shoot bethany and jerod’s incredible vintage wedding, one of the moments that will forever remain etched in my mind happened during their reception. there i was, in the middle of the dance floor, camera in hand, while everyone around me belted out jay z and alicia keys’:

“New York, concrete jungle where dreams are made of
There’s nothin’ you can’t do
Now you’re in New York
These streets will make you feel brand new
Big lights will inspire you
Let’s hear it for New York, New York,
New York“

and i knew they were right. there is something about the lights and the angles, the people and their shoes, the cafes and the vespas and the architecture and the hot dogs. it inspires me. it keeps my dreams going. and i continue to pursue this once simple hobby that has now become the way i pay my bills.

and so i want the chance to capture a few more things there this year. i’ll be in the state of new york doing an incredible session the second week of september but i’d love a reason to come to the city.

and of course- i so desperately want to be there for new years. so if you are getting married on or around new years eve in the city- i’m your girl!
