Maïwenn and Ben were officially married on Valentine’s Day this year (I know, right?!) inside a beautiful courthouse in Nantes, France. Being that most of my time in France has been spent in Paris and Provence- I was surprised at how much I loved Nantes. I could have stayed there forever! And don’t get me started on how much more beautiful the courthouse in Nantes is compared to the one in New York City. They don’t even compare, yet I’m not surprised.

In France, should you decide to have your “religious ceremony” and celebration (equivalent to how we do weddings here in the States), you must also be officially married by the judge at a courthouse. So on February 14th, the day before their traditional wedding day, Maïwenn and Ben had a quiet day of celebration with their closest friends and family as they made their marriage legal. It was so sweet. Small & intimate weddings are always my favorite. Their big celebration was out of this world, though I expect nothing less from Maïwenn & Ben- who are ridiculously creative- but that post won’t come until next week. Until then, their simple and creative courthouse wedding!
