Buon anno! After spending days thinking about what post I wanted to start the year of with, I decided to stick close to my heart and share a wedding from my beloved hometown- Houston!! <3 I like to get back as much as I can, and Houston wedding photography is the ideal way to go back and see my family, eat Tex Mex, and frolic in all my favorite places.
This wedding was also super special because I have known Van since high school when we used to binge watch Pearl Harbor, share Abercrombie & Fitch t-shirts, and walk around our neighborhoods pretending to be cool. I first went to Chicago, where Van and Matt were living at the time to meet Matt and shoot some magical bridal portraits of Van in her Bhldn wedding dress, and then ended up in Houston for a marathon of a wedding day. The morning started with an incredibly fun and joyful Vietnamese tea ceremony at Van’s childhood home (and where I spent many, many nights as a teenager) and ended with an elegant ceremony and reception at The Houstonian Hotel which is potentially the classiest place I have ever photographed a wedding. Lastly, I have to give a shout-out to my wedding vendor soulmate—Victor Pham—who I met because of this wedding and who I absolutely adore. He is definitely the coolest, most fun, and most organized wedding planner I have ever worked with (and I’m usually super annoyed when a wedding planner is so controlling). Consequently, he also happens to be a great friend. So much love Van, Victor, and everyone else that this wedding brought into my life :*
And father of the bride loved it. Thank you so much for an awesome job. You made the event unforgettable.Father of the Bride, Vui Le
