It’s not every day I get to shoot and sleep in a castle in the countryside of France. And, I’ll consider myself to have made it when I do, lol.
I met Maïwenn & Benjamin at the beginning of my photography career. They were the lovely people in this Montmartre Midnight in Paris Vintage-inspired Photoshoot. Somehow the interwebs brought us together when I made my little Europe tour two years ago. So when Maïwenn emailed me last year, telling me that they were engaged and would love for me to be their photographer- I freaked out! Naturally.
I’ll be the first to say that international work isn’t all macarons and eiffel towers. In fact, working in another country is difficult (maybe you don’t believe me- but it’s true!), and the days are extremely long. And this wedding was a two day affair. ( Check out the post from their city hall wedding.) But I am certainly so grateful for the opportunity, and the chance to photograph M & B and their friends and family.
This french vintage wedding is teeming with style and allure. Maïwenn pays attention to everything, and you can tell. But I can’t forget to mention that Benjamin had his hand in some of the creativity- though he would never admit it ;).
Maïwenn herself was so kind and generous, a true sweetheart. And Benjamin knows everything about everything and is incredibly helpful. They took me into their home, made me feel comfortable, and always made sure I had everything I needed. The whole weekend was quite the experience. Anyway- on to the photos!
Oh, and FYI- there are a lot of photos. I just couldn’t narrow them down any more!
Fabulous photography !!
