it’s not rare that i love my clients. and it feels a bit trite to say, but it’s rare that i meet people like mark and kelly when i’m photographing city hall elopements here in new york. they are the kind of people that you just want to be around, the kind of people that send their photographer a christmas gift, the kind of people (and you will see this in the photos) that make everybody smile.  they were overflowing with joy and generosity. so much so, that the couple in front of them in line didn’t realize they needed a witness, so mark offered to be their witness and sign their papers for them. 🙂

typically, my elopement photography coverage is about 3 hours, but i think i spent the entire day with mark and kelly! i documented it all, but i never once felt like i was actually working. we started at city hall and moved all around lower manhattan, collecting memories and eating pizza and drinking cocktails. i certainly won’t forget the sweetness of this day, and the photos bring a smile to my face every time.
