a little restaurant in “downtown” saint louis, senegal.i never ate there, but i’m sure it was quality.project revamp here. project revamp almost didn’t happen today. it took some major wire wiggling until my external hard drive would be noticed by my persnickety little laptop. it is official. i’ve got some major issues. not life issues,…
I upgraded my RAM and got an external hard drive for all my music and media. That $250 investment probably extended the useful life of my computer another 2 years. Otherwise, if you're going to get a new computer, I recommend getting the cheapest Dell with a full blown warranty with accident protection – it costs an extra $300 but it's worth the peace of mind and it's still less than a Mac.

If you end up deciding on a new computer, I would recommend the Toshiba. They have a model with 3GB of RAM and a 250GB HD for around $580 at Costco. It is the exact model I own and love and it includes Microsoft Office and a free upgrade to Windows 7 on October 22 (I paid $599 and did not get MS Office nor the free upgrade to Windows 7) And as Craig said, for about $300 you can get 4 years of full protection.
I can also direct you to a very low cost loan agent should you need financing :).
