This alternative wedding is literally ridiculous. I say this because it is a DIY handcrafted creative dream! Not only did offbeat bride Kelly opt for a bright pink wedding dress with a navy blue tulle petticoat, but she created so many bright and colorful decorations to add to an already gorgeous floral wonderland! I’m talking about Terrain at Styer’s, a botanical wonderland of a wedding venue. The decor comprises DIY paper flowers, a vintage brooch bridal bouquet, vintage rustic details, games with prizes and even a bit of Star Wars 😉 Try not to get too overwhelmed with all the creative detail shots!
But the other thing I loved about this wedding was intimate it was. They only had a few guests and it made the ceremony so much more meaningful as the guests all had a role in it. They placed flowers at the feet of the bride and groom and individually touched their rings before they went on the fingers of the bride and groom, giving their hopes and wishes to Kelly and Rich for their marriage. The day was rainy, but everyone had rain boots, which made for a lot of fun and splashing. This was the second or third time I’ve photographed a bride with a pink wedding dress, but definitely the first time a bride has chosen such a bold look, and I loved it! The end of the night was maybe my favorite part. After dinner we all gathered outside to root marshmallows and sing songs and finally did a bit of dancing. I will surely never forget this wedding! :p
