this very day, last year, i wrote a post that had some of my hopes and dreams for the coming year. the exciting news is that i got to see so many of those things come to fruition. the unexciting news is that i was dreading doing the same thing this year. i’ve been feeling really overwhelmed by my failures and my inability to get it all together. i didn’t want to think about goals, or hopes, or dreams for 2012. all i could think about was how i would fail at everything i hoped for and everything i wanted to do. and then i started to wonder if it was all worth it, if i was kidding myself into thinking that i had come anywhere in the past year, as a human being, as a christian, as a business woman. and then i read this post, by my good friend leslie. and it was exactly what i needed to read. it encouraged me to be thankful, and to take time to reflect on the fact that progress was made this year, and that my story is not finished.
and so i made a list. and here are a few things from that list…
mallory and michael’s bohemian sunset session.
catherine and mike’s vintage-inspired farm engagements.
the eckert’s lifestyle session.
spring forth, a beautiful farm in virginia. creative lifestyle session.

marie and frank’s vintage new york heist.

so here’s to 2012 and the way my story will continue to unfold and the progress that will continue to be made.
Tahni! Banish those thoughts of self-doubt and failure! You are an accomplished artist who has given joy to so very many brides, couples, and families….you arrive at a session as a professional and leave as a friend. I know that many times brides wait in trepidation for the results of their engagement and bridal sessions with other overly-commericial photographers, but your portfolio speaks for itself and your clients expectations are always exceeded! We had such a wonderful experience as clients and after nabbing our booking considered ourselves so very fortunate to have you journal Freddy and Madi’s wedding. Thank you for all your hard work and the lightning speed in which you edit the finished product. Continued success and growth to you and yours in 2012!
Beautiful, my friend. All of it. I’m so thankful (and lucky) to count you as a friend. I can’t wait to see what happens for you in 2012!
Tahni, you have had such an amazing year! I cannot believe all that you have accomplished in 12 short months. Congrats! We are always honored to have worked with you and cannot wait to see the work you do in 2012! Blessings.
Stunning, absolutely stunning images.
Wonderful stuff! And what fun to see the photos from the last year. I didn’t realize that you had never been to CA. Love it.
