at the end of last summer, i hopped on over to seattle to photograph arielle and matt’s wedding. and what i felt over and over was that this late-august weekend, and particularly the wedding, felt more like fun than it did work. the chance to get out of the seething heat and noise of new york city, while relaxing in the cool seattle air was almost like a gift. the wedding was so low key and the friends, family, and bride and groom were all happy energy and kindness.

arielle’s easy going spirit and genuine happiness are more than evident in the photos. and you can see just how much matt (and everybody else!) loves her. all of this translated into the bright, colorful, and cheery decor. a little bit modern, and slightly less rustic than i’m used to- i loved it! and as i blog this from -3 degrees in new york city, i’m wishing for the 65 degrees and sunny that was this perfect seattle weekend.
